Reflection 12 (13th Post) : Test and Final Touch on Courseware Project

Image
Hey Everyone! It’s the final week!!!!!!!! So, this week is the submission week for our SmartBuilder project. At this point, all that is left do is the final touch of our project. I’ve finish my part and all my groupmates have finished theirs too, so, we just need to standardize, compile, polish and do several trial runs on the software to make sure that it works properly. Before I ramble on the courseware – this week is also the week where we have to sit down for our test. Let me tell you- the test is no joke, especially to one who is positively climbing her way to learn about technology (especially – me!). Thankfully, I did my homework 2 nights before and I studied with my friends. But, I am pretty sure if I hadn’t put in the effort to do my revision, I wouldn’t have been able to answer or ‘goreng’ whatever answer I could for the test.  Now, fingers crossed – I hope I do well on the test! (please God!) As for the courseware – I think we did pretty we...

Reflection 11: SmartBuilder – 50% Progress on Personal Project

Yay! I can do my work!! Hello everyone~~ This week is a free period to do our project again – yeay!  So , I’ve told you in my previous post that I have sets of pictures to be used for my project. Well, this week is about me finding the right tune with my courseware to make sure it works properly. Since we are doing a storytelling (it’s no longer a secret – I know ;) , over the weekend, I had Balqis recording her voice and I had to record mine as well. It was so funny because we had to use different kind of voices to portray different characters that we have in our story. Spoiler alert – Balqis is Sharkie !  Problem was, our voices had different range of voice and we used different devices, so Balqis’ voice turns out to be much softer than mine. Thankfully, we’...

Reflection 10: SmartBuilder – Working on my Personal Project

Image
FREE PERIOD!! Hallooooo!!! Thankfully, in this week’s class, my lecturer gave us free period for us to work on our personal project – I’ve mentioned about the project in my previous reflection ( Reflection 9 ). Just bits of recaps, we decided to build a smartbuilder courseware under the topic – under the sea. It’s a syllabus for standard 3 students and we thought that we wanted to build a courseware for this group of students; to those who are already exposed and very much used to the language. So, we used the time given to us to re-sketch and polish the storyboard that we already have. Afterwards, like a bunch of good kids, we divided our works respectively- I agreed to be in charge to build the lesson’s activity (let me tell you a lil’ secret, it’s a story telling session – hush!) It's our lil secret! The rest of the class, I spent it on experimenting and implementing the knowledge I’ve learnt from my previous class to build the courseware. It’s quie...

Reflection 9: SmartBuilder - Hotspot and Audio

Image
The feeling I had each time my experimentation on SmartBuilder project works- it's exhilarating ! Hey everyone, See that guy?  That's me , figuratively. This week, I pretty much learnt and experience how to use hotspot and insert an audio in our project using the SmartBuilder. I wouldn't say I am an expert in those two things, and even though I may have a slight diagnosis of 'dinosaur disease' over technological stuff; I tried my very best to learn. See that 'hotspot' and 'audio' button ? Hotspot helps us to direct our story board from one page to another without using the 'button' application like we used to. Basically, what we do is sort of highlighting the picture/any image in our page so that when the users rolled their mouse nearby the image, the image would sort of gives a hint to direct them to click on it. And when they do (click on it), wallaa...they are on the other page! When I tried implementing hotspo...

Reflection 8: Canva and Smart Builder - My Experience with the Notorious Two (Maybe one)

Image
My Canva Informational Chart Design Hey everyone, This week is the week of exploring - I've learnt about the two notorious two called Canva and Smart Builder. Canva basically is the place where you could design anything from resume to postcard to poster and banner, even magazine cover; and have them looking similarly good as one done through software you have to download in your PC. Previously, I always used Canva to design some posters for my programs (clubs, course and initiatives outside of college), but I've never had to use it to design an informational chart. We have to design an informational chart today; I didn't manage to  finish it before the lesson ended because I had trouble shaping up the idea that I had in my mind. It's not perfect and it might not have those edgy-designers-style on it, but, this is my canva design:  Though I had an easier time with Canva, the same couldn't be said with the more notorious SmartBuilder! From my under...
